Week of September 9, 2013
By all rights, Saturn has your back and therefore, despite the bad rap that the planet gets, it is, in fact, your foxhole buddy. This is someone you might not have chosen if the option was presented, but when you are under fire, this is who you want by your side. Dependable, accountable and determined, Saturn rules work, responsibility and duty. With Saturn by your side you will chose to do the right thing. It may be onerous and difficult, but you will prevail and simply “get through it.” This will be even more so the case over the coming weeks as Venus steps in to cojoin with Saturn and lends her softening qualities to the stern Saturn. What does Venus conjoining Saturn look like? Perhaps doing nice stress-relieving chores for a loved one? Maybe going the extra mile to complete a task, perhaps? The over-arching theme is that of doing the right thing without intention of reward. These are distinguished as acts of kindness with no strings attached, so the intention is spot-on and well-meaning.
Venus will be sitting in the early degrees of Scorpio where it slowly drifts to meet up with Saturn eventually, but this also puts it into a harmonious trine with lofty and mystical Neptune. We can expect a foggy surreality as these two tend to push us into the dream-world of fantasy, confusion, and mysticism. This can be a lovely combination since it taps into our sub-conscious in the most magical manner; drawing up dreams and visions of other-worlds and events. This constructive pairing of planets is further amplified by a sextile, (a softer, pleasing angle of 60 degrees) of Saturn and Venus to Pluto at 9 degrees. Pluto will be hosting the Moon earlier in the week as it glides through Capricorn. With Uranus across the neighborhood in a tense square, we can often feel a little tension around the tight angle. Uranus does have redeeming qualities especially since surprises are in order with the rebellious planet on the scene.
True astrology comes from accuracy. When you know the exact details of your chart, you get the instructions for your own particular journey. These are the instructions. Like an operators manual. Using birth date, place and time you see where the action is in your life. Accurate, predictable, validating, in short, astrology works. I have been working with charts and the planets for years and the timing and action is real and validating beyond belief. Listen each week to “Turning of the Wheel” on Contact Talk Radio at 11:00 AM. The shows are then podcast on iTunes for later in the week. Write to me for a reading firstname.lastname@example.org or visit my website at www.turningofthewheel.com.
