Pluto stationed retrograde last Saturday and due to its slow outer orbit will remain in Capricorn until early October. Starting at 24 degrees Capricorn, Pluto will retrograde back to 22 degrees Capricorn during that time frame (4/25-10/3). People with planets in that array of degree points in cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) will most likely feel the impact in challenging ways, whereas people with planets in those degrees in earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) are more likely to learn something valuable about themselves. Retrogrades are not to be feared, but rather embraced as opportunities for us to reconsider our current trajectory. This time frame may be particularly illuminating due to the presence of the virus. Pluto’s retrograde will be followed by both Saturn (5/11) and Jupiter (5/14) which will also station retrograde in the middle of May. Basically all of these planets will be reversing their forward motion (as seen from earth) and moving back into roughly the same territory where they formed the grand conjunction of January 12, 2020. As we recall this is the time frame when we first acknowledged the presence of the virus. Does this signal a time when the virus recurs? Or is this a time when we adopt the valuable lessons learned? The overarching concern is that this period may find us deep in the virus once again as autumn arrives. This will impact us collectively as well as individually. Where is that happening in your life? Elsewhere we see a Full Moon on Thursday at 17 degrees Scorpio. Full Moons are notorious for stirring up trouble. In times such as these we can only imagine what that looks like. Does the energy of this Full Moon drive more protests in the streets? This type of activity may very well be the harbinger of the retrograding planets in what can only be seen as an act of impetuousness and blatant impatience. Could this act of rebellion reap the exact opposite outcome that we have been so diligently trying to avoid? Quarantining works despite the hardship it has imposed. We are dealing with an extraordinary force of nature; one that can only be defeated by social distancing. All of the sacrifice and loss of work has been painful to all, but to tempt fate by ignoring the advice of scientists and doctors will only bring this virus raining down on our heads when the autumn arrives. The cosmos is complex and the timing of events falls into the arc of history. Do we learn from our mistakes or does the overblown rhetoric of our politicians lay us bare to the ravages of such an environmental apocalypse? This will impact each of us in some manner. ARIES (March 21-April 19): Your income is lit up this week as the Sun and Mercury cojoin in your financial domain. These two planets also connect in a harmonious manner to Jupiter and Pluto which are currently in your employment domain. Could you be in the running for a new position or alternate income stream? Money discussions are highly likely.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20): The continues in Taurus this week and it comes into alignment with Mercury. You could find yourself in a good position to negotiate a new position or at least use this opportunity to get a conversation started. Travel also figures heavily into the equation as does education, so leads that pop up under that theme are worth investigating.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21): Your ruling planet, Mercury is moving in conjunction with the Sun this week. Topics about new projects or the closure of other projects may be likely. Working with large organizations may test those tentative bonds though so don’t expect things to be a walk in the park. Your charm is readily apparent though and may help ease the burden.
CANCER (June 22-July 22): Connecting with former business associates continues to be a positive theme for you this week. Don’t be surprised if you are contacted by someone you once worked with during this time. Challenges continue as close friends and significant partners test your ability to adapt and grow in harmony. A new beginning may be in the wings.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Don’t be surprised if someone contacts you regarding an employment opportunity this week. Something about the way you occupy your time is readily apparent. The challenge in the long term comes down to topics of health and wellbeing. You can own this if you want it. Good connections exist with old business friends.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Expect to have a discussion about possible employment opportunities this week. At least you will be primed and open to suggestions. Children and creative projects may pose an area for expansion and fun. Travel and education are likely areas for you to explore as options in your current world have shifted dramatically.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): A conversation with an elderly relative may be quite revealing. A change of plans might be forthcoming. As plans evolve you may be in a position to shift the dialog into a new direction. Hard choices must be made and the time to discuss is here. Do ot delay. The best laid plans now come under new scrutiny.
SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov 21): You may stumble into an illuminating discussion with an important person in your life this week. Mercury and the Sun join together and shine a light on a mutual topic. Challenges continue when dealing with legal or documentation topics and despite the hardship involved, you may be able to see acceptable progress.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Your ruling planet, Jupiter is aligned with heavy Pluto and the focus remains on your financial domain. What sort of decisions could you make that would enable you to openly discuss investment options? What sort of changes could you make that would alter your daily routine? Remain limber with your money to get the best results.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): A creative discussion with a partner, perhaps, makes possible a new approach to your personal expression. Harmony may reign on your daily routine as challenges continue with trying to discover a new and firmer footing in the world. You may be motivated to derive more income from outside ventures. Collaboration is worth it.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): You are headed into a rather serious stretch of time where you are reorganizing your priorities to accommodate a new way forward. This is a season of closure and beginning and may involve domestic matters. What could you embark on that would shake up your family? A healthy discussion might be all it takes to find the right angle.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Expect to dwell on legal and contractual matters this week as the Sun and Mercury align in that domain of your life. Fruitful discussions can yield great ideas despite a rather challenging set of circumstances with business alliances. You may be extremely anxious to get moving but a pause might serve you better.
