A busy week awaits as two outer planets station retrograde. We saw Pluto station retrograde last week and this week Saturn follows on the 11th and then Jupiter on the 14th. As mentioned before, retrogrades do not imply chaos or the cosmos going off the rails. They simply illustrate a time when we should begin to look inward, rather than outward. Introspection, retrospection, right? So what do we see when we look inward? What has this current situation taught us? If we have been observant, it should be easy to see how the earth has responded. Do you see all the “re” words in there? That is what a retrograde period is all about. Since Saturn and Jupiter are outer planets, their spin backwards is longer than the inner planets. And with that longer, slower cycle comes depth. This is a time to ponder what we have learned over this period of time. What do we miss? What are we going to do differently going forward? Now that we have seen how much we humans have impacted the environment, does that prod us to approach our lives and the planet differently? These are the lessons that come from a reflective period if we chose to hear them. Where is that happening in your life? Contact me at email@example.com. Aside from Jupiter and Saturn stationing retrograde, which is no small matter, by the way, we also see Venus stationing retrograde on May 13th in Gemini. Venus is an inner planet and therefore moves much faster. It will remain in Gemini for the entire cycle. Gemini is an air sign and a lively one at that, filled with an active imagination and a strong desire to create and to think. With Venus in Gemini might we be looking at how we get this conversation started about our environment? Learning, mental stimulation, conversation, and curiosity are all strong Gemini traits. So as we head into this period of several retrogrades (and Neptune is not far behind) what do we delve into that helps us reconcile where we are and where we are going? Where will you feel it? ARIES (March 21-April 19): Your ruling planet, Mars is charging through Pisces and while Pisces may not be as exciting for an Aries, it does offer some insights into your progress. With four planets in retrograde you may be rethinking your employment options. Retrogrades are ideal for reconsideration of existing plans. Highlights remain on personal finances.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20): The Sun is nearing the end of its tour in Taurus, but unpredictable Uranus will continue there for some time still. What sort of unusual surprises could pop up that shift your life in some meaningful way? Conversations about money and resources are likely, soi approach the subject cautiously and with an eye for revamping your plans.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21): Mercury and Venus, now in retrograde, are moving through Gemini. Expect to witness lively conversations that might now be open to alternative plans. What once was expected might now be on the bargaining table. Your career is in high focus so use the opportunity to push for your agenda and set the stage for a broader range of duties.
CANCER (June 22-July 22): A lot of retrograde action this week so take some time to reconsider your options. The Moon drifts through fellow water sign Pisces and your imagination may conjure up a new plan for moving forward and upward at the same time. Learning a new skill might be in order as it will give you a valuable advantage later.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Focus on health and wellness will serve you well this week and for some time into the future. Think of it as an investment. What you put into your health will pay out down the road. Surprises are likely in your career as old business connections seek to reach out to you. You might want to reconsider your direction.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Writing for money might be on your list this week. If offers come for that type of assignment you’d be wise to enquire. Relationships are in your spotlight so use that theme to bolster your position and possibly parlay into a new working relationship. Creative work may be tedious but the results may prove to be worth the effort.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): You may find that much of your time this week is spent on health and wellness topics. Whether you are starting a new exercise routine or simply watching your calorie intake you may be motivated to make significant progress in this area. Travel plans may be under reconsideration. Domestic topics continue to grind away on you.
SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov 21): You may find room in your heart this week to make amends with a sibling. The time is ripe for that if that is your desire. Children and creative topics also highlight your unique motives. An unanticipated shift in your relationship could force you to act on a different tack. Organizational plans may be redesigned.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Jupiter is now retrograding back and will come into contact with Pluto over the next few weeks. Any plans you may have made for financial experimentation might be under review. Are you headed in the right direction? Difficult and long-lasting choices have to be made sooner or later. Saturn will join the group soon and the pressure will mount.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): You may be reviewing your finances over the coming few weeks as your ruling planet, Saturn prepares to leave Aquarius and move back into Capricorn. This is a time for regrouping, reducing, and revising your plans going forward. A pragmatic approach to long-term planning will serve you best and patience is a key component.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): You are faced with a few difficult choices regarding your next steps. The choices you make will linger for some time so you might be wisest to follow your hunches. This window of time may allow you to reconsider the next steps but adhere to a pragmatic approach rather than a hasty one.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Mars and Neptune are moving through Pisces and you may be motivated to start anew. You may enjoy the dream but a practical approach will yield a greater outcome. Test business alliances for loyalty and valor. This is an area that needs hard work and an increased sense of attention. Domestic themes are dominant.
