We are coming to the end of the current Mercury retrograde this week as the messenger planet stations direct on the 28th. It is during a station, when the Mercury influence is particularly potent simply because it appears to be stationary, hence the term. While this news may be received as fortuitous by all measures, we are not out of the woods yet. We still have to endure what is called the shadow period. This time frame further extends the influence as Mercury traipses back over the same degrees it went during the retrograde. Mercury stations direct at 16 degrees Pisces, but it has to return to 29 degrees Pisces where the retrograde began. That return does not end until April 16th. Once that occurs we are safely out of the confusion. While we are all under the influence of Mercury in our lives, those with mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) face the greatest challenge under these skies. It is important to remember that retrogrades, regardless of the planet (except Sun and Moon) allow us the opportunity to (re) consider something. The prefix “re” can be used in any number of ways when describing the influence or impact of a retrograde. Reinvent, reconsider, re-enlist, review, refinance and so on. All retrogrades provide us with a chance to reevaluate. Since astrology is a dualistic modality, good and bad are applicable depending on the nature of your individual chart.
Elsewhere we see Venus move into Pisces early in the week. Venus is quite welcome in the mutable water sign of Pisces, where it is exhalted. Artists, poets, dreamers, mystics and those spawned from the dreamy waters of Pisces are fond of Venus and the strong aesthetic attributes born of this particular combination. Venus speaks to our collective desire for harmony, balance, and general pleasantry. While in Pisces, Venus delivers a strong appreciation for beauty and all that it represents in the human experience. While a dreamy, escapist theme can permeate this combination especially with Neptune currently in Pisces, we can also see our artistic tendencies become awakened. We might all feel a little like drifting off into a world of fantasy and imagination under this influence. It is a great theme for creating and allowing our ideas to soar. This influence will increase over the coming early weeks of April as Venus moves closer to Neptune, eventually cojoining Neptune on April 10. There will be more information on this in next week’s discussion.

Discussions with coworkers might cause some tension later in the week. Opics may be difficult to process and makes sense of, so be aware of a confusion factor. Mercury may have stationed direct, but the may still be some unanswered questions surrounding collaborative efforts at work. Try and control any impulsivity as it might backfire.
Your primary career is in the spotlight this week so expect to be tapped for a task. Large organizations are a area where change is slowly unfolding and may be an indication of where you fit in. Expect to spend some time this week tending to the needs of others. This may be a relatively new role for you, but one that has challenges as well as rewards. Scan the horizon for new and unusual career options. Conversations with elders are necessary yet may be a bit confusing or disjointed.
Conversations with your primary partner or a close friend may be jumbled or confusing in some manner. Try to find the silver lining if there is a cloud. Children and creativity are major areas of reconstruction currently and for some time to come so you would be wise to stimulate your imagination through unusual means.
Mercury has now stationed direct this week, but don’t ignore it yet. You may be engaged in discussions about your lifestyle or health and wellbeing. Your imagination may be a bit exaggerated so bear that in mind if you plans seem a bit unattainable. Wait a few weeks and tap into your ideas again.
Legal terms, contracts and agreements may be where you find yourself working the hardest to accomplish. Be careful not to agree too quickly on any terms. Wait until the end of the month for better chances. Your imagination may be soaring with ideas, but be careful and be reasonable in what is possible. Too soon, to tell.
Topics that surround either your physical home or your family may be a bit off-kilter so be prepared. Perhaps an offhand comment draws ire? Challenges persist in financial planning, so be patient and seek outside advice. Possible unforeseen disagreements are likely and could be jarring temporarily. Save imaginative projects until mid- April if possible.
Look to siblings for discussions surrounding your path forward. You are in a long-term process of defining yourself in a new light. The potential for success is real, but so are the challenges. Your business associates continue to be a challenge, so expect some effort on that area of your life. Lookout for a documentation or contract surprise.
