FORECAST: Weekly Astrology July 30, 2018

With the two most recent eclipses now behind us we can observe the byproduct of such powerful cosmic events. Eclipses serve as a harbinger of things to come or that which has yet to be revealed. In that capacity they are notable and worthy of our attention. As the week unfolds we may see some of the results of the eclipses as retrograding Mars stands in opposition to the Sun in Leo. Oppositions are notable simply by virtue of the fact that they are at odds with each other. Since Mars represents the aggressive warrior and the Sun delivers the creative light of Leo, we might expect a dramatic clash of wills as the themes represented by these two orbs are diametrically opposite. Mars is currently retrograding in Aquarius, the sign of the global collective. In this position we might see a general outcry from large bodies of people from across the globe who are upset with the current status quo. Mars feeds the fire of this public discontent and we see the manifestation of that in the swell of protests from around the planet. More than any other member of the zodiac, Mars pushes the conversation into action. However, without action nothing can ever change so we must come to regard this as a necessary conclusion. To complicate matters further, Uranus the planet that represents revolution, innovation and sudden changes, is currently standing in a harsh angle to Mars and may deliver an unexpected outburst that could arrive during this period. In this dynamic alignment, Mars and Uranus together spell revolution, course correction, and the unanticipated. The only possible antidote to this caustic pairing arrives in the form of a harmonious angle to Saturn, currently in its ruler, Capricorn. Saturn upholds responsibility and duty and may offer the preferred outcome to a potentially explosive event. Since nothing of value ever comes without a price to pay, Saturn’s role may be that of a course correction. If a public show of disdain does ensue as a result of the Mars/Uranus clash, it may be Saturn that delivers the most responsible and sobering decision. It is only when we feel the visceral results of our former actions that we can come to terms with finding the right approach in the end. Trial and error and then repair.
