Weekly Astrology for July 15, 2019 by Chris Flisher
This week we witness a full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 24 degrees Capricorn. The Lunar Eclipse follows the Solar Eclipse of July 2 and appears on the same axis but at the Capricorn end instead of Cancer. As we all know, Saturn, Pluto and the south node are all a part of this transformative cycle. As with any full Moon, this event provides us with an opportunity to examine ourselves with full emotional depth. All full Moons represent a time of potential and a new chance to highlight our expectations and goals. With a lunar eclipse that energy becomes heightened and more meaningful in nature and influence. This particular eclipse bears special noting though as the surrounding planets dramatically impact the influence. An intensely emotional time lies ahead as we see Mercury, currently in retrograde and conjunct with Mars both standing in a square to unpredictable Uranus. If ever there was a time when emotions could possibly boil over this may be just one of those times. Words, aggression, unexpected barbs and quips are highly likely and could easily inflame an already explosive theme. How does this impact you? While these current transits of the planets do signify a time of possible sudden shifts, there is also the possibility of dramatic progress. Astrology is a dualistic modality and by nature events can occur in an array of outcomes, some positive and some not. Fortunately in this situation, Venus lends a softer energy to the alignment as it aligns with the south node of the Moon and stands in opposition to Saturn and Pluto. Venus also strikes a harmonious connection to Neptune briefly and may color the tone in a more beneficial way. At the same time, we also see Jupiter and Neptune standing in a tight square to each other. In this capacity the situation may appear to be far more demanding than it actually is. Hyperbole might be the best way to describe this tense linkage. Since Neptune often obscures what is real and Jupiter usually amplifies the tone of the time we may be swayed by the intensity of the events in an unrealistic manner. What is the byproduct? Over-reaction is common as we tend to collectively respond with a fury of worry. Since there is an abundance of electric-like tension bubbling on the surface we may immediately jump to the wrong conclusion. In times such as these, we may be wiser to take small steps and respond in a measured manner that allows us to parse the situation accurately and with calm, lest we exaggerate the theme unwittingly. We are all immersed in a period of lengthy, deep transition and cooler heads will do well to prevail.

ARIES (March 21-April 19): You may find that you are teetering between two distinct areas of your life this week. On one hand your occupation becomes an important topic to pursue at the same time you delve into your domestic scene to try and fill in shortcomings and make plans for the future. This delicate balancing act has its challenges, but also rewards.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Be aware of a visceral tension this week that touches you personally. Words and actions may be impulsive to your deterement. Topics that revolve around domestic and familial decisions could spin out of control. With Mercury in retrograde in the mix, the possibility of harsh words spoken in haste is highly likely. Can you hold your tongue?
GEMINI (May 21-June 21): It may be wise to do some research on your financial plans this week. An outside opinion might offer you the most objectivity. Impulsivity is a part of this mix so take heed as your ruling planet, Mercury may tempt you to act without reason. Words may spark new tensions with siblings. Be careful of cutting ties.
CANCER (June 22-July 22): Your primary relationship may be growing in new and constructive ways. Transformation in this may be welcome. Be aware of tension with regard to your finances, especially with business partners. It may be important to get your facts straight before responding. A discussion could prompt an emotional outburst if not handled delicately. Your presence is highly visible this week.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Words may get you into hot water this week as both Mercury (in retrograde) and Mars team up in Leo. The combination of aggression and dialog are two concepts that can emerge from this pairing. You may act suddenly and reverse a decision you agreed to earlier, especially with regard to your occupation. Emotions may run high.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): You may find yourself in discussions about an upcoming transition. Words can be quite confusing and misconstrued during the week so be aware of misunderstandings and aggressive tendencies. Creative ideas could be quite profound and reaffirming. Unexpected events could pop up while traveling and should be handled with calm. Watch for aggressive behaviour.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Discussions with business associates and group members may be a bit fraught this week. Aggressive tendencies can overshadow a genuine concern for an elderly relative, so choose your words wisely. Unexpected disruptions are possible with large entities and institutions. Domestic topics continue to be challenging and transformative by equal measures. Potential for beauty abounds.
SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov 21): Be mindful of your comments this week particularly while at work. Mars, one of your ruling planets, will be in harsh angle to unpredictable Uranus and you could be surprised by the reactions of close friends. Financial gains may be likely but confusing. Research might prove to be invaluable in making an informed decision.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Mercury in retrograde and Mars are in fellow fire sign, Leo. Expect your plans for travel to be action packed and possibly confusing. Be prepared for possible unexpected schedule changes. Long-term investments and large institutions continue to test your mettle. Wait until Mercury stations direct before you sign any contracts. Use this time period to reconsider your options.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Complications may arise from a dispute that involves a large institution such as an insurance company or bank, for example. You should control your emotions and wait for a cooler wind to prevail after Mercury stations direct at the end of the month. Answer a creative call with impulse and spontaneity. Your dreams may reveal a secret. Listen.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): The heat and action may still be quite hot with partners and close friends. New beginnings may seem more promising than ever as transition looms on the horizon. Financial agreements may be in flux but you should pause until Mercury goes direct. Avoid signing contracts and be sure to research background materials.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Collaborative efforts pose challenges but that’s just part of the process. Your ideas about employment may be filled with lofty plans. While that may be a good way to expand, make sure you are grounded in what is possible and not simply lead by a whim. Creative ideas and time with children may be favored. Connect with the younger.
