FORECAST: Weekly Astrology February 25, 2019

The short month of February comes creeping to a close this week.  Even though this is the time of year for Pisces, we continue to witness a lot of concentration in the sign of Capricorn, and this will be the case for some time, so we had best get used to this aspect.  Many of us are feeling the slow impact of Saturn and Pluto in our lives. These two planets together spell change, and the best way to cope with the influence is to give in to it rather than try and tame the stream.  As mentioned many times before, Saturn is the taskmaster and will be holding our feet to the fire if we are not responsible for actions, words and deeds. Whereas, Pluto works to drastically change a part of our daily lives in ways that prepare us for the next stages of our lives.  This alignment is a relatively rare combination of planets, and the last time these two planets were in proximity to each other in the same sign was in 1982/83 when they were conjunct in Libra, also a cardinal sign (air.) They have a 33-year cycle based on their unique orbits. We can look back and see what unfolded during those cycles to see a possible recurrence of themes.  In 1914, Saturn was conjunct Pluto at 0º Cancer, a cardinal water sign. Of course, we know that period to be the start of World War 1. While there are no exact corollaries to that time, it is interesting to note the similarity of themes. The return of fascism, dictators, and division are all by-products of the same conjunction. Together these two planets often point to the dissolution of old, tired systems.  The tearing down of such structures is necessary to rebuild something better in its place. Each of us has an area of our lives that needs to be rebuilt. While are still in Pisces, we can observe the Sun and Neptune moving closer to each other.  Neptune rules the subconscious and the landscape of illusion, magic, fantasy, and delusion. When we think of those words, it is easy to see this influence, especially as we scan the headlines that demand our attention every day.  We are in a strange time where reality seems missing or obscured. This alignment is a classic example of the Neptunian influence of the highest order. Think back to the closing scenes of “The Wizard of Oz.” We all know the point in the movie where Dorothy’s dog,  Toto, pulls back the curtain to expose the professor who is manipulating the treacherous Oz while instilling fear and disappointment in Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion. The illusion of power and strength where nothing more than a false front meant to intimidate.  With frequent cries of “fake news” and “witch hunt” it is easy to envision a similar kind of persuasive attempt by leaders to sway the opinion of millions of voters and supporters. This is a dangerous game and leads to deceit, corruption, and a false narrative. Using saturation techniques to dispel the truth we are easily lead through repeated falsehoods to eventually believe; unless we know that this is likely under this influence.  We are best prepared when we are best informed. Thus, the logic and effectiveness of astrology.

ARIES (March 21- April 19)

Expect to see some action regarding a transition.  This influence can go either way, so you may be facing a new beginning or coming to a conclusion.  The Sun and Neptune are tracking closely together so you may be a bit uncertain about the details. The emphasis is there but you may not be able to get clarity.

TAURUS (April 20 -May 20)

Conversations may swirl around business topics for you this week.  While it may be important to get the dialog out in the open be aware of a tendency for falsehoods and misrepresentation of facts to be a significant part of the exchange.  You may be wise to get this matter resolved before Mercury stations retrograde next week.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)

You may be part of important discussions with supervisors this week while on the job.  Your role may be changing or you may be given a new responsibility that broadens your reach or just the opposite.  You may be best served by getting as many of the facts straight as possible. Confusion is likely.

CANCER (June 22-July 22)

Several major areas of your life are shifting.  Long term trends point to a readjustment of priorities regarding partners.  You may find that connections are deepening in ways you might not have imagined.  You could also be absorbed by a new found sense of purpose, but you may find it hard to verbalize your thoughts on that matter.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

A long-term trend may be slowly shifting the way in which you address your health and wellness.  You could be inclined to step into new routines that directly impact your daily life. Elderly relatives may present you with choices that are complex and difficult to navigate.  Make choices now before Mercury goes retrograde next week.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Close friends and significant partners may offer up tempting proposals.  While the topics may be somewhat unrealistic or unattainable, you may want to consider them nonetheless.  It is only when you push beyond your comfort zone that you actually find the kernel of creativity that you are driven to understand.  Consider all possibilities but act with caution and restraint.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You may be investigating health and wellness topics this week.  With that in mind you could be mislead regarding which approach to take in your life.  As your home and family continue to evolve in a new direction you may find that this is not the time to make a drastic change.  Delay long term decisions until early April.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov 21)

Decisions to be made regarding children could be filled with great promise, but also a touch of uncertainty.  The Sun and Neptune are clouding your view perhaps, as they swirl in that area of your life. A greater emphasis is pulling you towards long-term research with a fairly dramatic shift in store as you dig deeper.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

The spotlight may be on home-based initiatives and that could include family members as well.  There may be a sense of confusion or misconstrued information regarding such a project. Money and long-term plans figure prominently over the coming months, so due diligence and get the facts straight.  Confusion is likely and choices might be foolish. Better to wait.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Be aware of documentation and legal contracts.  While you may be presented with a tempting offer, you might do well to gather as much information as possible before you agree to anything.  Change is in the air, but don’t grab at shiny objects without knowing their true value. Be wary of a sense of urgency in anything.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Be mindful of confusing or obscure financial transactions this week.  What looks promising may, in fact, present just the opposite. Decisions regarding a contract or other financial obligation may end up less than you expected.  Transition is a vital part of your current frame of mind, but you may be wise to get more clarity before you act.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

The Sun remains in your sign so you may feel the energy of that transit.  With Neptune also in Pisces you may be confused regarding relationships. You may be forced to consider options that you has not entertained before, or conversely regret choices you made impulsively, especially with business associates.  Postpone important decisions until after Mercury stations direct.
