The year comes to an end with the entry of Mars into the sign it rules and most identifies with; Aries. This appears to be quite an auspicious beginning to a new year. Mars is the great warrior planet, but it is also known for action, ambition, achievement, and aggression. When a planet enters the sign that it rules it offers us the opportunity to utilize that attribute to its fullest capacity. With Mars in Aries this provides an opportunity to implement change and initiate new paths or ventures. Of course, Aries will feel the impact, but so will fellow firesigns, Leo and Sagittarius. Aries in particular will be emboldened by this fortuitous ingress and it will allow them to put in motion plans for a year ahead. Aside from the obvious influence for Aries and fire signs, it is important to note that we are all affected by the presence of Mars. We all have Mars in our horoscope charts, somewhere. With that in mind, what better time to feel the influence of the great initiator than at the beginning of a new year. To find out where Mars is in your chart, contact me for more detailed information at firstname.lastname@example.org, www.chrisflisher.com or www.turningofthewheel.com.
Other interesting insights come from the many planets that are occupying the signs that they rule. Currently, we see Jupiter in Sagittarius, Saturn in Capricorn, and Neptune in Pisces. In each case, these planets exhibit greater influence than normal while they hover within the signs they rule. As with Mars, each of these orbs has a special attribute that comes to light and is more prevalent while in the sign they rule. Jupiter’s abundance and ability to amplify are heightened while in Sagittarius. Saturn’s responsibility, resolve, and restriction are more dominant while in Capricorn and Neptune’s mysticism and murky confusion are heightened while In Pisces. Add to the mix the shorter transit of Mars, entering Aries where it resides for about 6 weeks, we see great potential. As such, the current positions of these planets allow us to operate within the realm of unique possibilities. With such a concentrated abundance of influence we may all find ourselves pivoting towards correction. Looking back we might come to the realization how far from our normal state we have drifted. With the new year on our heels and a new Moon solar eclipse coming on the 5th of January, we may see the opportunity to pivot towards a healthier direction and abandon the divisive nature of the current structure.
