The week ahead holds the promise for some rather surprising events. To begin with, we will witness the Winter Solstice on the 21st. The Solstice is a magical day and allows us to wipe away the past and truly begin anew. The Sun is at its lowest point in the northern hemisphere and provides the shortest amount of daylight. The Solstice is known as the shortest day of the year due to that point. The good news for those who dislike the lack of light, will be that the days begin to lighten and daylight lengthens from this point forward. Use this as an opportunity to celebrate our great connection with the cosmos and put your best intention forward. Uranus is in easy angle to the Sun throughout the week and that may deliver some unexpected results. When we think of unexpected we often turn towards a disaster, when other results are just as likely to arrive, so bear that in mind. Each sign will have its own area where events can occur and the only way to understand that and prepare is to have your personal chart constructed. Elsewhere we see a lot of activity as Mars stirs up things as it stands in a harsh angle to the Sun early in the week. Mars is aggressive and when combined with the Sun can produce impulsive, combative circumstances as well as power struggles, success, and assertiveness. Much of that may be offset by Mercury and Jupiter who stand in a conjunction to each other in Sagittarius. When these two planets combine their energy we see great constructive, wide-reaching, intellectual endeavors. Communications are amplified and the conversation may dwell on religious themes, expanding borders (not restricting), contracts, and optimism in general. We may all feel magnanimous during this period and why not? We have endured enough drama and collapse these past few years, we deserve to relish this moment, albeit short-lived. To finish up the week we see Venus and Neptune in a harmonious angle as well. Together these two deliver an extension of the magnanimity by offering up a backdrop for daydreaming, platonic relationships, and artistic events that deliver fantasy and escapism. All of these sound like a perfect setting for the coming holiday. Why not celebrate with those you love?

ARIES (March 21- April 19)
Your ruling planet, Mars may be tangling things up with the Sun as they stand in a harsh angle to each other this week. Mars energy has a significant role in your world and can be the great motivator. Look to education and travel for excitement and possible surprises. Reconsider your path forward.
TAURUS (April 20 -May 20)
Keep an eye on aggressive behaviour at work this week as Mars and the Sun wrestle for attention. Not all friction is problematic and great accomplishments can arise out of a simple animated discussion. The final result is what is worth remembering so even if the road is bumpy getting there, the ending may be worth it.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
Pay special attention to close work relationships especially those that involve your position there. You could be eager to push your agenda, yet you may witness some pushback from an unlikely source. Nonetheless, the possibility of widely optimistic vision for the way forward may exist. Conflict may deliver creativity. Thing big and reach far.
CANCER (June 22-July 22)
An unusual event at work this week could force you to reconsider your employment options. This may be a wonderful surprise that you might have been prepared for, but the potential remains. This should be an excellent time to explore new employment responsibilities and goals. The dialog is key, so don’t hesitate to open up and talk.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
You may find that you are motivated to cope with large organizations and the elderly this week. In fact, those two entities may naturally meet up in the course of your time. Topics such as health and well-being are dominate and that may be the driving force behind your exchanges with large organizations.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Expect to see a lot of activity in and around the home and family this week. Your significant partner may be pushing you on a domestic topic and you might find the conversation highly animated especially with Jupiter conjunct your ruler, Mercury. Things might get amplified and inflated so bear that in mind.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Health and wellness are prioritized for you this week. With that in mind you may be doing some deep research in an effort to help a sibling or family member cope. Look to your significant partner for a surprise revelation that appears quite out of the blue. Long-range plans continue to unfold around family.
SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov 21)
Finances and possibilities surrounding them may be causing you to research new options. You may be quite fortunate or you may be seeing a major correction, but either way expect to be speaking about money. You could be inspired by creative methods going forward to accommodate a changing financial scene. Dig deeply. Dig conservatively.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Expect to be in the spotlight for much of the week as Jupiter and Mercury align in Sagittarius. This should present you with an opportunity to address family matters and the consequences thereof. Concern over long-term investments may be warranted as change is likely in that area of your life. Make reprimands to those closest.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Excitement may be building this week as you set course for a new direction. A major chapter of your world may be coming to an end. Not all endings need to be fraught with sentimentality, but you may be inspired to address the opinions of your siblings. A family surprise could help you depart easily.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
The action boils around your business associates this week as you enter into talks regarding your financial structure and partnerships with them. Try to avoid aggression despite what you may feel is required. Diplomacy will yield you greater results if you proceed openly and cautiously. A new direction may appear and could determine your partnership.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)
Career conversations are lively and generally optimistic, if not expansive. This should be an excellent time to express your plans for your career. You may come across as too eager so take the time to tone things down a notch before you show all your cards. Business associates play a significant long-term role.
