FORECAST: Weekly Astrology April 13, 2020

Weekly Astrology for April 13, 2020 by Chris Flisher

The big news this week, other than the pandemic, is a collection of planetary pairs.  When planets pair, meaning they are in close proximity by degree within a sign, they exhibit a shared quality that delivers a specific theme.  We have three coming into a conjunction this week and the energy will be felt by all. The most notable of all of these is the slow-moving conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn.  Capricorn is a cardinal earth sign and events that rise at this time have to do with basic, foundational concepts. Since the earth is our terra firma, we look to see things that arise from the earth or those that address our basic primal needs.  Pluto is the most notable because it reveals what is broken or damaged and that which requires repair or attention. This is clearly evident in the arrival of the virus. As a result of massive quarantining, the earth, skies, and waters have all shown the signs of cleansing.  Without the intervention of human pollutants, the earth has begun to purge itself of toxins. When joined by Jupiter, the entire effort is magnified. The scale of this cleanse is indicative of the damage that has been wrought on the planet. The cure will likely be as intense as the virus with little restraint.  Each of us has an area of our lives that is being shaped by this conjunction. Where is that happening in your life? Elsewhere we see Mars and Saturn conjunct in the early degrees of Aquarius.  Saturn is the ancient ruler of Aquarius, and it brings a level of stability and constraint.  Saturn is the great task-master, the responsible “parent” of the zodiac. In this capacity, Saturn represents the call to action for all of us to quarantine.  Mars, by contrast, offers up the motive, the action to implement what Saturn decrees. This is a theme that we will be witnessing in the coming year, but not fully until Saturn is firmly in Aquarius which does not occur until mid-December of 2020.  Prior to that Saturn will return to Capricorn in July and remain in retrograde there until year’s end. It is likely that during that second encounter with Pluto that we may see a resurgence of the virus in some capacity. Finally, the last planetary pair we see this week includes Mercury and Neptune both in Pisces.  As mentioned many times, Neptune is the great fog. Neptune obscures the truth and bends the narrative. With Mercury there, communication has a tendency to be confusing, misleading, and often false. This pairing is similar in theme to that of a Mercury retrograde. What would that look like? Consider that we get an “all-clear” signal from the powers that be, only to be fooled into a false sense of security, thinking that the worst has passed only to find that we are lulled into safety only to be slapped back down.  Where will you feel it? ARIES (March 21-April 19): Surprises are likely this week as your ruling planet, Mars comes into a square with unpredictable Uranus.  Your income and association with business partnerships is where you are likely to see the action. Your imagination is also likely to be pretty fervent so pay attention to ideas that randomly arrive.  Communication is key to success.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Try to focus on matters of career if possible.  Many aspects are in flux and you might have a hard time getting clarity.  Still, if you are prepared for it, you may be able to successfully navigate through the troubled waters of unpredictability.  An unexpected turn of events may find you in a challenging spot.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21): The times are trialsome for many and you are not alone.  Discussions that swirl around business connections are lively and could be a bit impulsive.  Training others with new responsible tools may pose a challenge for you especially if you work in a large organization.  You may find some relief in a light-hearted dynamic that unfolds on the job.

CANCER (June 22-July 22): Career prospects look good for you this week as a collection of supporting planets allows you to engage on topics such as employment.  What does that look like in times such as these? You may be able to begin discussions with new enterprises that highlight your abilities.  Some unexpected work may be involved but your goal should be sustenance.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Possible occupational surprises are likely this week as Uranus sits in your career domain.  The responsibility that comes with new opportunities may test your primary relationship in ways you had not expected.  A foundational change is unfolding with your daily routine and wellbeing. New habits can alter the trajectory of your outcome.  Stick to what feels right.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Mercury and Venus are pairing up and may offer employment prospects that easily fit your current lifestyle and limitations.  An elderly relative may pose a problem that includes a connection with children. Perhaps you step in to serve as a mediator between disparate points of view.  You may be motivated to solve daily logistical problems.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Familial responsibilities may pose a challenge for you as you try and adapt to changing plans.  A viable alternative may appear that involves travel. Relationships require a steady concise conversation in order to fully understand your limitations.  Children and creative projects may test your patience and the solutions are not easily discovered.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov 21): You may be facing a significant challenge in how you process documentation, legal matters, and any sort of contractual agreement.  There is no easy way through this other than bearing down on the most pragmatic approach. As difficult as it may appear the reward does exist, it simply takes a significant effort to attain.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Your finances may be the subject of considerable tension.  Although the current climate has had a negative impact on your bottom line, your chances of finding alternative investment strategies are real; just difficult and challenging to discover.  This week provides a good opportunity to discuss with your partner. Health and wellbeing could deliver a surprise.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): The landscape is changing before your very eyes and you are trying to adapt accordingly.  Mars provides the motivation for you to reach out for alternatives. Be open to thinking outside of the box and entertain all possibilities.  New and unusual creative ideas may provide the insight for solving income shortfalls, but the challenge is real.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18):  Of all the zodiacal players you may be the one under the most duress at this time.  An ending is looming which also points to a new beginning. With Saturn and Mars in Aquarius you may be motivated despite the hardship involved in getting from one point to another.  Unexpected changes in family may present new opportunities.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): An unanticipated financial discovery may test the bonds of allegiance with a business associate.  Rather than over-reacting you might be wiser to discuss openly so that there are no surprises or subterfuge involved.  A sticky topic, no doubt, but honesty is the secret. If ambiguity exists, seek to gain clarity.
