Astrology Forecast ~ May 11, 2015 by Chris Flisher

The most important event of this week begins with Mother’s Day.  Can there possibly be any person more important that she?  Whether or not she remains in your daily life or if she has moved on we all know deeply that she is a part of our very basic structure.  So foundational is she to us that our basic character and security is linked to her.  The Moon is our astrological mother and when you know that position you can better understand your relationship with her.  Where is the Moon in your astrological portfolio?  We all have this placement and it is indicative of your role with her.  Some of us no longer have our mothers and some never knew their mothers, but that linkage still remains a part of us.  It may be an important point in your own personal growth to understand where that placement is and what it symbolizes in your current life.  Although pain may be involved with your observations of your relationship to your mother, consider the lessons that came as a result.  If you can frame your experience in acceptance and compassion you may be able to celebrate her continuing influence to this present day.

Mars moves in Gemini right as the door to the new week opens.  For all of its fiery fervor, Mars can be highly influential in Gemini.  The airy, cerebral quality of Gemini may be inflamed by the surging drive of the warrior planet.  The term “warrior” need not imply war, per se.  We can wage war on many things and be quite successful at it.  Mars is more of a motivator, juiced with courage, and that’s where his greatest value appears.  What needs to be completed in your life?  What documents and research need to be addressed?  What topics need to be re-hashed?  With Mercury retrograde lurking under the new Moon next week, we are likely to see some fomenting passion concerning these topics as Mars and Mercury combine in an emotional display that may be impulsive, emotional, and even incendiary, so be on alert.  Of course this is not a certainty, so don’t enter into a fray unnecessarily, but the influence will likely enter the following week and you may see the groundwork for it this week.
