Astrology Forecast ~ December 15, 2014 by Chris Flisher
The sixth exact alignment of Uranus and Pluto at 12 degrees Aries and Capricorn respectively, occurs early this week. Since these are slow-moving outer planets we need not worry too much about the exactitude, since we are already feeling the impact of these two planets. Since their first alignment we have seen a period of rapid growth, innovation, and spontaneity, while also witnessing a tearing down of structures, the exposure of frauds, and the fall from grace of several well-known individuals. In general, we have been living in a time when transparency has come to the forefront. Later in the new year, in March, we’ll see that last of the seven direct alignments of these two planets. Much more will be revealed by then and we may have a decidedly different landscape. In many ways, we are already deeply immersed in these changes. The fact that they have occurred so slowly has allowed us to adapt and digest them without upheaval. What IS important to recognize though, is how things used to look before these two planets got together and how things look now. If we go back to 2012 and review we see a newly re-elected president, a hot spot in Ukraine, the growth of ISIS, the outbreak of Ebola, a universal health care plan in place, income inequality, and most importantly a number of scandals involving large institutions (governed by Pluto)such as the catholic church, banks, and other municipal events. On top of that we have witnessed a continual unwinding of the democratic process, racial divide, and an immoveable Congress, none of which are insignificant when viewed with a backwards glance.
As the week unfolds we’ll witness two incidents of mutual reception. This is an astrological term for when two planets occupy the signs of their opposite rulers. The Sun is the natural ruler of Leo and yet it will be in Sagittarius, whereas Jupiter is the natural ruler of Sagittarius and yet it will be in Leo. Jupiter in Leo, Sun in Sagittarius—flip-flopped. We’ll also see Mars in an exact sextile to Uranus, both at 12 degrees Aquarius and Aries respectively. Not only are they in an exact (easy) alignment, but they are also in mutual reception. Mars is the natural ruler of Aries, where Uranus currently sits, and Uranus, the natural ruler of Aquarius is where Mars rules. Again Mars in Aquarius, Uranus in Aries—flip-flopped. This type of flip-flopping generally increases the interchange in a positive manner whereby the two planets support each other in a reflective manner and tend to highlight the positive characteristics of both. Jupiter feels emboldened in Leo and the Sun sits pleasantly in Sagittarius, where fiery Mars has a comfortable footing in air sign Aquarius (air feeds fire) where Uranus can be quite effective in the impulsive Aries arena. We should consider these as ominous and positive alignments and act accordingly.
